Arabic transliteration

Different approaches and methods for romanizing Arabic exist. They vary in the way that they address the inherent problems of rendering written and spoken Arabic in the Latin alphabet; they also use different symbols for Arabic phonemes that do not exist in English or other European languages.

يقصد بمناظرة الحروف Transliteration أو الحورفة كتابَةُ لغةٍ ما بحروف لغةٍ أُخرَى، فهِيَ قابلةٌ لأَن تقومَ أذن مِن لغةٍ إِلى لغةٍ و بالعَكس. و على سبيل المثال فكتابَة اللغة العربيّة بِأَحرفٍ لاتينِيّة أو رومانِيَّة تُعرفُ بالرَومنة romanization [1]، أمّا كتابَةُ لغةٍ ما غير عربيّة بأحرف عربيّة فتعرفُ أحياناً بِ العَورَبَة arabization ، و أحياناً ب مُواءمة الحروف العربية [2].
