Aquitaine
Aquitaine (, ; ; ), archaic Guyenne/Guienne (Occitan: Guiana), is one of the 27 regions of France, in the south-western part of metropolitan France, along the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees mountain range on the border with Spain. It is composed of the 5 departments of Dordogne, , , Landes and Gironde. In the Middle Ages Aquitaine was a kingdom and a duchy, whose boundaries fluctuated considerably.

Gallia Aquitania
Gallia Aquitania (; also Aquitaine, Aquitaine Gaul) was a province of the Roman Empire, bordered by the provinces of Gallia Lugdunensis, Gallia Narbonensis, and Hispania Tarraconensis. It lies in present-day southwest France, where it gives its name to the modern region of Aquitaine.

Aquitaine
L'Aquitaine (Aquitània en occitan, Akitania en basque) est une région historique et administrative du Sud-Ouest de la France. Elle comprend cinq départements : la Dordogne, la Gironde, les Landes, le Lot-et-Garonne et les Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Son chef-lieu, Bordeaux, en est aussi la plus grande ville. Ses habitants sont les Aquitains.

Gaule Aquitaine
Facilement conquise par Crassus, lieutenant de Jules César en -54, la Gaule Aquitaine est une des trois provinces (avec la Belgique et la Lyonnaise) créées par Auguste en 27 av. J.-C. de la Gaule romaine (outre la Gaule narbonnaise). Son territoire initialement limité au triangle Pyrénées – Atlantique – Garonne est augmenté d’une partie de la Gaule centrale, jusqu’à la Loire.

Aquitaine
Aquitaine eller Akvitanien (occitanska: Aquitània; baskiska: Akitania) är en region i sydvästra Frankrike vid Biscayabukten och Pyrenéerna. Regionen har 3 150 890 invånare (2008). Regionhuvudstad är Bordeaux. Franska är officiellt språk, men det talas även occitanska och baskiska.

Akwitania
Akwitania (fr. Aquitaine) - kraina historyczna i region administracyjny we Francji, położony na wybrzeżu atlantyckim w południowo-zachodniej części kraju. Dzieli się na 5 departamentów: Dordogne, Gironde, Landes, Lot-et-Garonne i Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
Najważniejszymi miastami obok siedziby Rady Regionalnej - Bordeaux (217,0 tys. mieszk.) - są Pau (79,4), Mérignac (62,5), Pessac (56,6), Bayonne (40,4), Talence (37,5), Anglet (35,5), Mont-de-Marsan (30,7), Agen (30,6), Biarritz (30,3) oraz Périgueux (30,0).
W tym regionie znajduje się także Lourdes - jedno z najczęściej odwiedzanych sanktuariów chrześcijańskich.
