Apoyando

Apoyando is a method of plucking used in both Classical guitar and Flamenco guitar. A direct translation from Spanish would be "resting". This is because after plucking, the finger rests on the string which is physically higher on the guitar (contrast with tirando).

To play apoyando means to play notes using the classical style 'rest stroke'.
