Apostolic Penitentiary
The Apostolic Penitentiary, formerly called the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Penitentiary, is one of the three tribunals of the Roman Curia. The Apostolic Penitentiary is chiefly a tribunal of mercy, responsible for issues relating to the forgiveness of sins in the Catholic Church.

Apostolische Pönitentiarie
Die Apostolische Pönitentiarie (lat.: Sacra Paenitentiaria) zählt zu den drei obersten Gerichtshöfen der katholischen Kirche. Sie ist jedoch kein Kirchengericht, sondern ein kurialer Gnadenhof für den sakramentalen wie nichtsakramentalen Gewissensbereich, und damit praktisch eine päpstliche Verwaltungsbehörde.

Pénitencerie apostolique
La sacrée Pénitencerie apostolique est l'un des trois tribunaux de l'Église catholique romaine. Ses bureaux sont situés dans le palais de la Chancellerie apostolique, au Vatican.

Penitencjaria Apostolska
Penitencjaria Apostolska, zwana także Trybunałem Pokuty - najwyższy sąd kościelny rozpatrujący sprawy sumienia.
W jej kompetencji leżą wszystkie kwestie, które dotyczą zakresu wewnętrznego oraz związane z odpustami. Udziela on rozgrzeszeń, dyspens oraz innych łask zastrzeżonych Stolicy Apostolskiej, oraz rozstrzyganie spraw związanych ze sprawowaniem sakramentu pokuty. Na czele stoi Penitencjarz Większy.
