In geography, the antipodes (; from Greek: ἀντίποδες, from anti- "opposed" and "foot") of any place on Earth is the point on the Earth's surface which is diametrically opposite to it. Two points that are antipodal to one another are connected by a straight line running through the centre of the Earth.

Antypody (z gr. antipodes = naprzeciw stopy. Termin ten pojawił się u Plutarcha) - punkt na powierzchni Ziemi, który w stosunku do określonego punktu jest położony dokładnie po drugiej stronie naszej planety, tj. na drugim końcu jej średnicy. Potocznie termin ten używany jest w szerszym znaczeniu i używany jest w stosunku do wszystkich obszarów na półkuli południowej.
