Anti-Revolutionaire Partij

The Anti Revolutionary Party (in Dutch: Anti-Revolutionaire Partij, ARP) was a Dutch Protestant Christian democratic political party. The ARP is one of the predecessors of the Christian Democratic Appeal. Although after 1917 the party never received more than twenty percent of the vote, its influence was far greater.

Die Anti-Revolutionaire Partij (Anti-Revolutionäre Partei, ARP) war die erste christdemokratische politische Partei der Niederlande. Das „antirevolutionär“ im Namen bezog sich auf die Gegnerschaft zu den Ideen der Französischen Revolution. Obwohl sie nach 1917 bei Parlamentswahlen nie mehr über 20% kam, blieb ihr Einfluss beträchtlich, auf die Dauer war ihr Status als eigenständige Partei dennoch nicht mehr zu halten, was schließlich zur Fusion mit anderen christlichen Parteien zum Christen Democratisch Appèl (Christdemokratischer Appell, CDA) führte.

De Anti-Revolutionaire Partij (ARP) was de eerste politieke partij in Nederland. Ze bouwde verder aan een al bestaande parlementaire stroming, die was begonnen door Guillaume Groen van Prinsterer. De naam `antirevolutionair' verwijst naar het verwerpen van de ideeën van de Franse Revolutie.

El Partido Antirrevolucionario (Anti-Revolutionaire Partij ARP) fue un partido político de los Países Bajos de ideología democristiana y confesión protestante.A pesar de que el partido nunca superó el diez por ciento de los votos desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial, su influencia fue grande en la política holandesa. Así, el ARP fue uno de los partidos que formaron la actual Llamada Demócrata Cristiana en 1980, lo cual supuso la disolución de la propia ARP. En 1976 tenía 59.495 militantes.
