Anhalt

Anhalt is a historical county (after 1806 duchy) in central Germany, located between the Harz Mountains and the river Elbe. It now forms part of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Anhalt - kraina historyczna w środkowej części Niemiec, część dzisiejszego kraju związkowego Saksonia-Anhalt. Obejmuje ziemie po obu stronach środkowej Łaby oraz wschodnie pogórza gór Harz. Głównym miastem jest Dessau. Od czasów średniowiecza do 1918 r. pod władzą przedstawicieli dynastii askańskiej - potomków Albrechta Niedźwiedzia.

L'Anhalt fu una storica contea (dopo il 1806, un ducato) della Germania centrale, situata tra le montagne di Harz e il fiume Elba. Attualmente è parte del Land di Sassonia-Anhalt.
