Androphobia

Androphobia is an abnormal and persistent fear of men. Not to be confused with misandry, which is the hatred of men.Sufferers of this disorder experience anxiety even though they realize they may face no real threat. Androphobia is one of infinite possible specific phobias, and as such can be traced back to a specific triggering event, usually a traumatic experience at an early age. In the case of androphobia, this may include rape or other abuse perpetrated by a man on a child.

La misandrie est un sentiment sexiste d'aversion pour les hommes en général, ou une doctrine professant l'infériorité des hommes par rapport aux femmes. Elle peut être ressentie ou professée par des personnes des deux sexes.

Fobia (nowołac. phobia "stany lęku u neuropatów", z phóbos "strach, lęk") to zaburzenie nerwicowe, którego objawem osiowym jest uporczywy lęk przed różnymi określonymi sytuacjami, zjawiskami lub przedmiotami, związany z unikaniem sytuacji wywołujących go i utrudnieniem funkcjonowania w społeczeństwie. Fobie wywołane są przez pewne sytuacje lub obiekty zewnętrzne wobec osoby przeżywającej lęk, które obiektywnie nie są niebezpieczne. Cierpi na nie około 10% ludzkości.

Misandri betecknar hat eller starka aversioner mot män. Ordet härstammar från grekiskans misos (hat) och andros (man). Misandri tillskrivs oftast kvinnor men förekommer ibland även hos män. Forskning och debatt om misandri är mycket kontroversiell och generellt sett ett relativt nytt fenomen.
