Amstel Gold Race

The Amstel Gold Race is a road bicycle race held (mostly) in the southern part of the province of Limburg, The Netherlands. It is held every spring. From 2005 it has been part of the UCI ProTour. Before that it was part of the UCI Road World Cup. The name does not directly refer to the river Amstel, which is far away from the course, but to the sponsor, the Amstel brewery.

L’Amstel Gold Race est une course cycliste d'un jour, une classique (créée en 1966), se disputant aux Pays-Bas au printemps, patronnée par la marque de bière Amstel. Elle parcourt le sud de la Province du Limbourg aux environs de Maastricht, ainsi que parfois la Belgique voisine. Les principales difficultés se trouvent à la Montagne Saint-Pierre et à Valkenburg aan de Geul.

Das Amstel Gold Race ist ein Straßen-Radrennen, das seit 1966 jährlich in der Nähe von Maastricht in den Niederlanden stattfindet. Das klassische Eintagesrennen, welches nach der holländischen Biersorte Amstel benannt ist, war bis 2004 Teil des zehn Rennen umfassenden Rad-Weltcups. Nach dessen Abschaffung gehört es seit 2005 zur neu eingeführten UCI ProTour, einer Serie der wichtigsten Radrennen des Jahres.

Amstel Gold Race - jeden z największych klasycznych (jednodniowych) kolarskich wyścigów świata. Rozgrywany najczęściej w kwietniu, w Holandii. Pierwszy Amstel Gold Race miał miejsce w 1966 roku, na aż 302-kilometrowej trasie z Bredy do Meerssen, a zwycięzcą (z czasem prawie ośmiu godzin) został Francuz Jean Stablinski. Już od pierwszej edycji Amstel Gold Race rozgrywany był w kwietniu, stając się konkurencyjną imprezą dla wyścigu Paryż-Bruksela.

La Amstel Gold Race è una corsa ciclistica che si disputa in primavera in Olanda.Deve il suo nome alla casa produttrice di birra che la sponsorizza fin dalla sua prima edizione, disputata il 30 aprile del 1966.Questa corsa fa parte della Coppa del Mondo di ciclismo fin dal 1989 e, con l'abolizione di quest'ultima, assegna punti del circuito UCI ProTour.
