Ampere
The ampere (SI unit symbol: A), often shortened to amp, is the SI unit of electric current (quantity symbol: I,i) and is one of the seven SI base units. It is named after André-Marie Ampère (1775–1836), French mathematician and physicist, considered the father of electrodynamics. Note that SI supports only the use of symbols and deprecates the use of any abbreviations for units.

Ampere
Ampere (ofta felstavat ampère) är SI-enheten för elektrisk ström, uppkallad efter den franske fysikern André-Marie Ampère (1775–1836). Enligt definitionen är 1 ampere den ström som, när den passerar genom två raka och parallella ledare med oändlig längd och en meters avstånd mellan varandra, ger upphov till en kraft på 2·10-7 N per meter mellan ledarna.

Amper – jednostka natężenia prądu elektrycznego, jednostka podstawowa układu SI i MKSA, oznaczana A.
Definicja 1 A - prąd o natężeniu 1 A, jest to stały prąd elektryczny, który płynąc w dwóch równoległych, prostoliniowych, nieskończenie długich przewodach o znikomo małym przekroju kołowym, umieszczonych w próżni w odległości 1 m od siebie, spowodowałby wzajemne oddziaływanie przewodów na siebie z siłą równą 2*10 -7 N na każdy metr długości przewodu.
