Marcio Amoroso is Brazilian by birth, but he had his first success on the football pitch in the Far East. After playing in the Guarani youth teams, the Brazilian forward flew to Japan, aged eighteen, to play for Verdy Kawasaki. He returned to his homeland in 1994 and soon become one of the rising stars in Brazilian football scoring 19 goals in 26 games in his first stint in Serie A. In 1996 he moved to the titled Flamengo. After just a few months, though, he moved to Italy and joined for Udinese, scoring 42 goals in three seasons and achieving the title of top goalscorer in Serie A last year. He is a central player in the forward line and the man that Parma are hoping will help the team to score yet more goals. Marcio is very fast, agile and capable of creating any of the most incredible opportunities and goals. Was third place top-scorer in 1999 Copa America, after teammates Rivaldo and Ronaldo.
