American Journal of Philology
American Journal of Philology (AJP) is an academic journal founded in 1880 by the renowned classical scholar Basil Lanneau Gildersleeve. It is widely recognized as a top research publication in the field of philology, and related areas of classical literaturelinguisticshistoryphilosophy, and cultural studies, incorporating myriad interdisciplinary approaches to its topic. In 2003, AJP received the award for Best Single Issue from the Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division of the Association of American Publishers. The current editor of the journal is Dr. Barbara K. Gold of Hamilton College.
