Allies of World War II

Within the ranks of the Allied powers, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom were known as "The Big Three." U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt referred to the Big Three and China as the "Four Policemen".  France, before its defeat in 1940 and after its liberation in 1944, was also considered a major Ally.

Les Alliés de la Seconde Guerre mondiale furent les pays qui s'opposèrent formellement aux forces de l'Axe lors de cette guerre. Lors du conflit, elles étaient souvent nommées les Nations Unies, bien qu'aujourd'hui ce nom se référe à l'Organisation des Nations unies qu'ils fondèrent après la guerre. Parmi les rangs des forces alliées on comptait, les États-Unis, l'Union soviétique et le Royaume-Uni connus comme "les Trois Grands". Le Président Franklin D. Roosevelt se référant aux Trois Grands plus la Chine parlait des "Quatre gendarmes".

Alianci II wojny światowej – nazwa krajów walczących przeciwko państwom Osi podczas II wojny światowej. W trakcie wojny stosowano także dla aliantów określenie "Narody Zjednoczone". Od tego zwrotu nazwano po wojnie międzynarodową organizację ONZ, stawiającej sobie za cel zapewnienie pokoju i bezpieczeństwa na świecie.

Антиги́тлеровская коали́ция — объединение государств и народов, боровшихся во Второй мировой войне 1939-45 против агрессивного блока гитлеровской Германии, фашистской Италии, милитаристской Японии и их сателлитов. Антигитлеровская коалиция не была формальным объединением, а вклад ее участников в борьбе с фашизмом крайне неравномерен — одни участники вели активные военные действия с Германией и ее союзниками, другие помогали им поставками военной продукции, третьи участвовали в войне только номинально. Число участников коалиции в ходе войны увеличивалась, к моменту окончания войны с Японией в состоянии войны с Германией и ее союзниками находились 53 государства мира.

De allierade under det andra världskriget var inledningsvis Frankrike, Polen och Storbritannien som hade ingått en pakt för att stödja varandra vid ett eventuellt angrepp från Nazityskland. Storbritannien stöddes av länderna från det brittiska samväldet, bland andra Kanada. Motståndarsidan var axelmakterna.
