Alice Bailey

Alice Ann Bailey (June 16, 1880 –  December 15, 1949), known as Alice A. Bailey or AAB, was born as Alice LaTrobe Bateman, in Manchester, England. She moved to the United States in 1907, where she spent most of her life as a writer and teacher. She wrote on spiritual, occult,  Theosophical, Christian, and other religious themes.

Elle est décédée le 15 décembre 1949. Reconnue comme une des personnalités fondatrices du mouvement du New Age, Alice Bailey a écrit une vingtaine d'ouvrages ésotériques, ainsi que des articles pour le Lucis Trust, institut spiritualiste qu'elle fonda en 1920.

Alice Bailey, pierwotnie Alice Ann Le Trobe-Bateman (ur. 16 czerwca 1880 w Manchesterze, zm. 15 grudnia 1949 w Nowym Jorku), okultystka angielska, uczennica Heleny Bławatskiej, założycielki ruchu teozoficznego. Jej publikacje to m.in. "Leczenie ezoteryczne", "Traktat białej magii" oraz "Traktat o ogniu kosmicznym" choć rzeczywistym ich autorem jest tajemniczny Mistrz Djwal Khul, czyli "Tybetańczyk". Tybetańczyk był jednym z ezoterycznych przewodników dużej grupy lamów tybetańskich, "adeptem odwiecznej mądrości". Niektórzy okultyści widzą w nim wcielenie Konfucjusza.
