Agnes Samaria
Agnes Samaria (* 11. August 1972 in Otjiwarongo) ist eine 800-Meter-Läuferin aus Namibia. Die Leichtathletin ist dreifache namibische "Sportlerin des Jahres" und seit dem 27. Oktober 2005 "Goodwill-Botschafterin" des internationalen Kinderhilfswerks der Vereinten Nationen. Die hauptberufliche Lehrerin gewann u. a. Medaillen bei den Commonwealth Games 2002 in Manchester und bei den Leichtathletik-Afrikameisterschaften in Kapstadt. Darüber hinaus nahm Agnes Samaria an den Leichtathletikweltmeisterschaft: WM Edmonton 2001, WM Paris 2003 und WM Helsinki 2005 und den Olympischen Spielen 2000 und den Olympischen Spielen 2004 für ihr Land teil.
