This article is about the racehorse. For the concept in law and other fields, see affirmation. Affirmed (February 21, 1975 – January 12, 2001) was an American thoroughbred race horse that won the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing in 1978—only the 11th horse to ever accomplish the feat. As of 2007, he was the last horse to do so.
