Affect (psychology)

Affect refers to "the experience of feeling or emotion". Affect display is "a facial, vocal, or gestural behavior that serves as an indicator of affect." (APA 2006) Affect is a key part of the process of an organism’s response to stimuli. This article discusses theoretical perspectives, history and psychological meanings of the term, as well as distinctions between mood and emotion.

L'affect correspond tout état affectif, pénible ou agréable, vague ou qualifié, qu'il se présente sous la forme d'une décharge massive ou d'un état général. L'affect désigne donc un ensemble de mécanismes psychologique qui influencent le comportement. On l'oppose souvent à l'intellect.

Mit Affekt (Idiome: im Eifer des Gefechtes, in the heat of the moment (engl.)) ist eine heftige, zumindest deutliche Gemütsbewegung ("occuring emotion") gemeint, die eine Ausdrucksdimension, eine körperliche Dimension und eine motivationale Dimension hat. Beispiele: Lächeln ist ein Ausdruck für den Affekt Sympathie, Rotwerden ist im körperlichen Bereich bezeichnend für den Affekt Scham und die Bereitschaft, mit der Faust auf den Tisch zu hauen, ist ein charakteristisches Motiv aus dem Affekt Zorn heraus.

Afekt - w psychiatrii i psychologii termin określający obserwowaną przez badającego ekspresję emocji. Ekspresja ta nie zawsze współgra z opisem emocji podawanym w wywiadzie przez pacjenta.Można wyróżnić:afekt dostosowany - prawidłowa, odpowiednio silna i żywa, dostosowana do sytuacji ekspresja uczućafekt niedostosowany - nieprawidłowa ekspresja uczuć;paramimia - zaburzeniu związku między przeżyciami a ekspresją uczućparatymia - braku związku między uczuciami a ich ekspresjąambiwalencja uczuciowa - doświadczanie w jednym czasie przeciwstawnych uczućafekt osłabiony (a. blady, apatia) - jest to osłabienie zarówno ekspresji uczuć jak i modulacji tejże ekspresjiafekt labilny (chwiejność uczuciowa) - brak możliwości dłuższego utrzymania ekspresji emocji na zbliżonym poziomie, a co za tym idzie częsta i łatwa zmiana afektu.afekt sztywny (sztywność uczuciowa) - brak możliwości współgrania emocjonalnego z otoczeniem

In de psychologie is het affect een patroon van waarneembaar gedrag waarmee een subjectief gevoel of (emotie) tot uitdrukking wordt gebracht. Als men zich de stemming van een persoon voorstelt als het emotionele 'klimaat' van die persoon, kan het affect worden gezien als het emotionele 'weer'.Verder wordt de term gebruikt voor een plotselinge, hevige emotie of gemoedstoestand of om het subjectief waarnemen van een eigen emotie of gemoedstoestand aan te duiden.Het begrip affect komt ook voor in de muziektheorie. De retorische figuren die het affekt doen ontstaan werden vanuit de redenaarskunst overgezet naar de muziektaal van de Barokperiode.
