Aitolos
In Greek mythology Aitolos (Αίτολος) (also Aetolus) may refer to:Aitolos, the son of Endymion who reigned as King of Elis. His mother was either a Iphianassa Asterodia, Chromia, Hyperippe, or a naiad. He killed Apis, the ruler of Apia. Aitolos ruled Aetolia, which took its name from him. He married Pronoe and had two sons, Pleuron and Calydon (the names of two of cities of Aetolia).Aitolos, father of Palaemon.Aitolos, son of Oxylus and Pieria. He died before his parents and was buried by them in a tomb in Olympia's gate, because an oracle forbade any burial either within or outside the city.
