Aargau is one of the Deep Core Worlds, and is the headquarters of the Bank of Aargau, which is owned by the
Confederacy of Independent Systems' ally, the InterGalactic Banking Clan. Aargau is located in the Zug system. The planet shares its name with
Aargau, a Swiss
canton near the banking capital of
Switzerland,
Zürich. Also,
Zug is the name of another Swiss canton. It can be assumed that these names are a play on the fact that Switzerland has an inordinate number of banks.
