En théorie des nombres, une fonction additive est une fonction arithmétique f définie sur l'ensemble des entiers naturels non nuls telle que :
- Pour tous a et b entiers naturels non nuls premiers entre eux, f(ab) = f(a) + f(b).

Funzione additiva
In matematica esistono differenti definizioni a seconda del campo di applicazione in questione. Tradizionalente una funzione additiva è una funzione che preserva l'operazione di addizione:
per ogni elemento x e y del dominio. L'equazione funzionale precedente è nota come equazione di Cauchy.
In teoria dei numeri, una funzione additiva è una funzione aritmetica f(n) dell'intero n tale che per ogni a and b interi coprimi si abbia:
