Adam and Eve

Adam (, Adam, "man"; , ; Ge'ez: አዳም) and Eve (, , "living one"; , ; Ge'ez: ሕይዋን, Hiywan) were the first man and woman created by God according to the Bible and the Qur'an. This story is told in the book of Genesis, chapters 1, 2 and 3, with some additional elements in chapters 4 and 5. God (referred to as YHWH) creates Adam from the dust of the earth and breathes life into him. Later, he makes Eve from Adam's rib. The serpent tempts Eve into eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and she gives the fruit to Adam, too. God expels them both from the Garden of Eden and curses them. They have children, Cain, Abel, Seth, and others, who then populate the world.

Adam und Eva waren nach dem im Buch Genesis in den Kapiteln 2 bis 5 niedergelegten biblischen Schöpfungsbericht das erste Menschenpaar und Stammeltern aller Menschen.Adam (hebr. , adam, „Mensch“, „der von der Erde Genommene“) wurde demnach von Gott aus dem Lehm des Ackerbodens erschaffen, danach wurde ihm der Lebensatem (die ruach) eingehaucht. Adam gab den Tieren Namen, fand aber kein partnerschaftliches Gegenüber. Darauf ließ Gott Adam in einen tiefen Schlaf fallen, entnahm ihm eine Rippe bzw. Seite und schuf aus dieser sein Gegenüber Eva (hebr. , chawah, „die Belebte“). Wurde in der Erzählung bis dahin immer von „dem Menschen“ („Adam“) gesprochen, erkennt Adam („Mensch“) in der Begegnung mit dem neuen Wesen in sich den Mann („isch“) und in seinem Gegenüber die Frau („ischa“ – eig.: „Männin“).

"czerwony", od koloru ziemi, z której został ulepiony) i Ewa (hebr. חוה Chawa - "budząca życie"; ar. حواء Hawwaa) - według relacji biblijnych, zawartych w Księdze Rodzaju, pierwsi ludzie. Biblijna historia została rozbudowana w tradycji żydowskiej i chrześcijańskiej. Tę samą historię powtarza tradycja manichejska; wzbogacona o dodatkowe elementy została też zawarta w Koranie.

Adam and Eve è il quarto album realizzato dalla band inglese dei Catherine Wheel. Uscito nel 1997, l'album raggiunse l'undicesima posizione nella Top Heatseekers di Billboard e la 178ma nella Billboard 200. È il primo album del gruppo a venir distribuito anche in Italia grazie al discreto successo dei due singoli Ma solituda e Delicious.

Adamo (אָדָם in  ebraico, e آدم (ʾĀdam) in Arabo) significa uomo, uomo terreno, terroso, o rosso, è il nome del primo uomo secondo l'ebraismo, il cristianesimo e l'islam.Secondo la Genesi, con la sua donna Eva, Adamo ha dato origine all'umanità; in particolare sono nati da loro Caino, Abele e Set. Biografia Nel 1947 suo padre si trasferisce in Belgio per lavorare nelle miniere della Vallonia. Partecipa a un concorso radiofonico di Radio Lussemburgo, vincendo la finale a Parigi ed inizia ad esibirsi presentando le sue prime canzoni, scritte in francese, caratterizzate da una vena melodica interessante, frutto dell'incontro tra la tradizione italiana e quella cantautorale d'oltralpe.
