Adak, Alaska

Adak (IPA pronunciation: ), formerly Adak Station, is a city in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 316. A State of Alaska demographer in 2004 estimated the population at 69. It is the westernmost town in the United States and the southernmost city in Alaska. (See Extreme points of the United States.) There are no radio stations in Adak and no stations even 200 Miles away. People must relay on satellite service for ANY radio station.
