Active Directory Service Interfaces
Un modello di servizi di directory COM che consente alle applicazioni client compatibili con ADSI di accedere a un'ampia gamma di protocolli per directory, fra cui Windows Directory Services e Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), pur utilizzando un'unica serie standard di interfacce. ADSI protegge l'applicazione client da questioni operative e di implementazione dell'archivio di dati o protocollo soggiacente.
