Mówią one o czasach po wniebowstąpieniu Jezusa, ukazując działalność ewangelizacyjną i misyjną Apostołów (Dz zawierają przemowy m.in. Piotra, Pawła, Jakuba, Szczepana), prześladowania chrześcijan i życie pierwotnej wspólnoty Kościoła.
