Achilles tendon
The Achilles tendon (or occasionally Achilles’ tendon), also known as the calcaneal tendon or the tendo calcaneus, is a tendon of the posterior leg. It serves to attach the plantarisgastrocnemius (calf) and soleus muscles to the calcaneus (heel) bone.
