Achilles tendon
This is about vertebrate anatomy. For the metaphor of a single vulnerable spot, see Achilles' heel. The Achilles tendon (or occasionally Achilles’ tendon) also known as the calcaneal tendon or the tendocalcaneous is a tendon of the posterior leg.
