Released on August 27, 1991 and lingering on the charts for much of 1992, Aces, Bogguss's third release on the Liberty Records label, was undoubtedly her breakout album. Bolstered by strong songwriting credits from the likes of Nanci Griffith, Cheryl Wheeler, and Beth Nielsen Chapman, Aces contains several of Bogguss's strongest tracks.
