Agdistis
Agdistis was a deity of Greek, Roman and Anatolian mythology, possessing both male and female sexual organs, connected with the Phrygian worship of Attis and Cybele. Her androgyny was seen as symbolic of a wild, uncontrolled nature and, as a trait threatening to the gods, was condemned and destroyed by them.

Agdistis
Agdistis entstammt ursprünglich der Phrygischen Mythologie, wonach der Himmelsgott Papas im Schlaf seinen Samen auf den Felsen Agdos nahe Pessinus oder auf die Große Mutter Kybele, zu der sich dieser gestaltet hatte, fallen lässt, woraus der hermaphroditische Agdistis entstanden ist.

Acdestis
Hijo de Zeus. Nació hermafrodita y fue castrado por los demás dioses. De su miembro viril nació un almendro, una de cuyas semillas depositó en su vientre Sangaris, quien dio a luz un varón, Atés; del cual Acdestis se enamoró, pero al saber Atés que Acdestis era su padre, se castró y murió.
