Abraxas grossulariata is a moth of the family Geometridae, native to Europe and North America. Its distinctive speckled colouration has given it a common name of Magpie Moth. The caterpillar is similarly coloured to the adult, and may be found feeding on the leaves of shrubs such as gooseberry.

Der Stachelbeerspanner (Abraxas grossulariata) ist ein Schmetterling (Nachtfalter) aus der Familie der Spanner (Geometridae). Die Art wird auch als Stachelbeer-Harlekin bezeichnet.

La Zérène du Groseillier (Nom latin : Abraxas grossulariata) ou la phalène mouchetée. Espèce paléarctique, largement répandue en Europe, relativement commune en France dans de nombreux habitats, se rencontre dans les jardins, les allées forestières, active pendant la journée, au crépuscule et en fin de nuit, univoltine. Cette Phalène pond sur Ribes (groseillier), Prunus, Crataegus (aubépine), Evonymus (fusain) ... et hiverne au stade de jeune chenille. Papillon que l'on voit en mai.

Wygląd

Rozpiętość skrzydeł 4-5 cm., różnorodne ubarwienie, najczęściej białe skrzydła pokryte brązowymi i żółtymi plamami. Biało-żółta gąsienica. Larwy podobne są kształtem i kolorem do gałązek.
