American lifestyle brand and company that sells "Casual Luxury"
apparel. The company encompasses four
brands: Abercrombie & Fitch,
abercrombie,
Hollister Co., and
Ruehl No.925. The merchandise is sold in the brands' retail stores, catalogs and online.As of
June 2007, the company operates 984 stores in all
U.S. states except
Wyoming, six stores in
Canada (3 of which are
Hollister Co. stores), and one store in
Savile Row, the first international flagship store opened in
London, England on
March 22,
2007. Abercrombie & Fitch Co. plans to continue expanding to Japan and adding more stores in Canada. Another brand, known as
Gilly Hicks, an
Australian-themed Lingerie concept, is set to open its first store on
January 2008 in
Natick,
Massachusetts. A&F company is currently headed by
Michael S. Jeffries since the company's rebirth in
1988.
