Assu or Açu is a municipality (município) in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. See Açu for more details. Açu ou Assu (em tupi-guarani Açu significa grande) é um município brasileiro do estado do Rio Grande do Norte localizado na microrregião do Vale do Açu , que está na Mesorregião do Oeste Potiguar e é banhado pelo o  Rio Açu . De acordo com o censo 2007 do IBGE sua população é de 52 mil habitantes.A Área territorial do município é de 1.292 km² e, além disso ocupa o posto de segundo município mais populoso do Oeste Potiguar e o oitavo do Rio Grande do Norte, superado apenas por Mossoró, cidade da qual está distante setenta quilômetros.È um dos municípios mais importantes do estado e do nordeste.

Áššu er en samiskspråklig avis som utgis to ganger i uka, tirsdag og fredag. Avisa ble etablert i 1993 og utgiversted er Kautokeino. Dekningsområdet er hele det samiske området i Norge, Sverige og Finland. Redaksjonelt søker Áššu sine nyheter og bakgrunnsstoff på tvers av grenser og politiske skillelinjer. Avisa utgis av Sami Aviisa AS som igjen eies av Nordavis AS (35,0%), Norske Samers Riksforbund (32,5%) og Norske Reindriftssamers Landsforbund (32,5%). Ansvarlig redaktør er Anders J. Bals.
