ARTA

For the Japanese racing team known as the ARTA Project, see Autobacs Racing Team Aguri. ARTA (Auckland Regional Transport Authority) is the public transport organization of Auckland, New Zealand. It was established in 2004 to help find and fund solutions to the traffic challenges facing the rapidly growing Auckland region. ARTA is under the umbrella of the Auckland Regional Council (ARC), and about half of the ARC's rates go to fund public transport via ARTA. ARTA co-ordinates public transport under the MAXX brand.

Arta (Greek: Άρτα) is a city with a rich history in north-western Greece, capital of the Arta Prefecture which is part of the Epirus province. The city was known in the ancient times as Amvrakia (Greek: Αμβρακία). Arta is famous for its old bridge located over the Arachthos river, situated west of downtown. Arta is also known for its ancient sites from the era of Pyrrhus of Epirus and its 13th century old castle, one of the best preserved in Greece. Arta's rich Byzantine history can be also traced today via its many Byzantine churches; perhaps best known is the church of the Panayía Parigorítissa (Mother of God the Swiftly Consoling), built about 1290 by Despot Nikephoros. The city is the seat of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus.

Artà (kastilisch Artá) ist eine der 53 selbstständigen Gemeinden der spanischen Baleareninsel Mallorca. Die gleichnamige Kleinstadt ist Verwaltungssitz der Gemeinde in der Region (Comarca) Llevant.Die Gemeinde Artà hatte im Jahr 2007 eine Einwohnerzahl von 6.802 gemeldeten Bewohnern auf einer Fläche von 139,63 km². Dies entspricht 48,7 Einwohner pro km². Im Jahr 2006 betrug der Ausländeranteil der Gemeinde 13,2 % (890), der Anteil deutscher Einwohner 3,9 % (262). Noch 1991 gab es in der Gemeinde 136 Analphabeten. 1.292 Einwohner hatten keine Schulbildung, 1.675 Grundschulabschluss, 1.210 Mittlere Reife. Amtssprachen sind  Katalanisch und Spanisch (Kastilisch). Der auf der Insel gesprochene katalanische Dialekt wird Mallorquí genannt.

Artà è un comune spagnolo di 6.176 abitanti situato nella comunità autonoma delle Baleari. La città è situata nel'entroterra maiorchino, a 15 chilometri da Cala Ratjada, il più vicino luogo turistico sul mare. Da visitare ad Artà sono: il Museo di Storia Naturale e di Archeologia, la Chiesa Parrocchiale e, dopo aver percorso più di 200 gradini (partendo dalla Chiesa Parrocchiale) si giunge alla chiesa più antica, situata sulla cima del colle su cui si estende Artà, e da dove si gode una vista mozzafiato del panorama della città e del verde dell'isola. La chiesa è circondata da delle mura. È incredibile pensare che molti tedeschi si trasferiscono in Spagna e iniziano a lavorare, aprendo un negozio. Ad Artà è frequente trovare negozi di abbigliamento, bar, fioristi, bancherelle con prodotti tipici di Maiorca e della Spagna ecc. diretti da persone provenienti dalla Germania.
