ARNA

The village of Arna (Greek: Άρνα) lies on the eastern slopes of the Taygetos mountain range, at an altitude of 700m to 850m (2,300 to 2,800 feet).Administratively, it is part of the town (demos) of Farida, in the province (nomos) of Laconia, in Greece. The nearest major town is Gytheio, 35km (22 miles) to the southeast. Sparta lies approx. 40km to the north.The area has a rich history. Near the village, at the Arkina site, a Mycenaean-era domed burial chamber has been found, most likely built by Minyan or Boeotian settlers. Artifacts from many periods have also been found at the Spartia site between Arna and Arkina, mostly ceramic containers. These findings support the conclusion that the site has been since ancient times a stop on the road connecting Sparta and Messinia.

Arna est un bydel, une division administrative de la kommune de Bergen en Norvège. Environ 16 000 habitants vivent dans cette banlieue rurale. Étant située derrière le mont Ulriken, Arna est géographiquement près du centre de Bergen, mais il faut un certain temps pour s'y rendre en voiture car il n'y a pas encore de tunnel bien qu'il ne faille que 8 minutes pour relier la gare d'Arna à Bergen en train. Arna est constitué des quartiers Haukeland, Unneland, Espeland, Rødland, Haugland, Gaupås, Ytre Arna, Indre Arna, Arnatveit, Garnes, Takvam, Songstad et Trengereid.

Die Antisense-RNA (aRNA) ist eine einzelsträngige RNA, die komplementär zur Messenger-RNA (mRNA) ist. Die mRNA wird vom nicht-kodierenden Strang (codogener Strang) der DNA transkribiert. Wird auch der komplementäre Strang transkribiert, entsteht eine zur mRNA komplementäre aRNA. Die aRNA inhibiert durch Basenpaarung mit der komplementären mRNA dessen Translation in der Zelle. Damit wird die Genexpression einzelner Gene reguliert.
