APSE

APSE standing for Ada Programming Support Environment is a program or set of programs to support software development in the Ada programming language.This represented the second stage of the U.S. military Ada project; once the language was implemented, it was felt necessary to specify and implement a standard set of tools, hence the APSE.CAIS-A, Common APSE Interface Set A, was defined in MIL STD-1838A.

Als Apsis (griechisch „Wölbung“, Plural Apsiden) bezeichnet man die beiden Hauptscheitel auf der elliptischen Umlaufbahn eines Himmelskörpers. Apoapsis ist dabei der Punkt mit der größten Entfernung zum Hauptkörper und Periapsis der mit der geringsten. Da die Ellipse genau zwei Hauptscheitel besitzt, wird der Begriff meist im Plural verwendet.

Apsyda (lub absyda) - w architekturze pomieszczenie na rzucie półkola, półelipsy lub wieloboku, dostawione addytywnie do bryły kościoła i otwarte do jego wnętrza. Zazwyczaj zamyka prezbiterium, czasem nawy boczne i ramiona transeptu lub westwerk. Występowała już w architekturze rzymskiej, stąd przejęta przez chrześcijaństwo.

L'abside (dal latino absis, "arco" o "volta") è un elemento architettonico a forma di volta tronca.Essenzialmente in uso nelle architetture romane e nei luoghi di culto cristiani, l'abside è sita nelle chiese ed è immediatamente visibile sul retro degli altari maggiori. La parte superiore dell'abside è detta "catino absidale", ed ha la forma di quarto di sfera o mezza cupola. L'abside solitamente conclude il presbiterio di una chiesa e in essa viene usualmente posto l'altare maggiore. Su di essa è possibile trovare delle vetrate, in particolare nell'architettura gotica. Sull'abside, talvolta, si può trovare la cupola stessa.
