Saint Afra (died 304) was a Christian martyr. Her actual existence is not mentioned until the 5th century martyrologies, giving her dubious historicity.

AFRA
AFRA (AFRA International Center for Black Women’s Perspectives) ist eine Non-Profit-Organisation von Frauen schwarzafrikanischer Herkunft mit Sitz in Wien, Österreich. Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit des Vereines ist einerseits die Reflexion von Bedürfnissen schwarzer Frauen und Kinder und die Erarbeitung von individuellen Lösungen, anderseits Vernetzung und Lobbying auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene sowie Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zur gesellschaftspolitischen Positionierung von schwarzen Frauen und deren Anliegen.

Afra von Augsburg
Afra von Augsburg († 304 auf einer Lechinsel vermutlich in der Nähe des heutigen Friedberg) gilt als frühchristliche Märtyrerin im heutigen Bayern und gehört zu den Heiligen der katholischen Kirche. Sie ist die Schutzpatronin der Stadt Augsburg und des Bistums Augsburg.

Afre d'Augsbourg, en allemand Afra († 304 à Friedberg) est une martyre du qui vivait dans l'actuelle Bavière. Elle est depuis 1064 une sainte de l'Église catholique romaine commémorée le 7 août.

AFRA
1996年、高校2年の夏休みにニューヨーク滞在中セントラルパークでの無料ライブにてザ・ルーツ（The Roots）のラーゼル（Rahzel）のビートボックスに感銘を受け独学で勉強。その後卒業とともに渡米。2002年ブルックリンで開催された｢Human Beat Box Battle｣で優勝。
日本では2004年富士ゼロックスのCMに出演し注目を浴びヒューマンビートボックスの存在を世間に知らしめた。2005年からはビートボクサー啓、K-MOONとのグループ「AFRA & INCREDIBLE BEATBOX BAND」を結成し主に活動している。
