ADAC

The ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.) is Germany's and Europe's largest automobile club, with 15,290,614 members in August 2005. It was founded on May 24, 1903 as "Deutsche Motorradfahrer-Vereinigung" and renamed in 1911.Both the ADAC, and its older rival AvD (the organizer of the German Grand Prix), are members of the FIA and the DMSB. The European Grand Prix, the former ADAC Eifelrennen, the 24 Hours Nürburgring and many other races are hosted by ADAC.The ADAC also operates a large fleet of mobile mechanics in yellow cars that assist motorists in trouble - the Yellow Angels. The ADAC runs its own modification center whereby ordinary vans are turned into mobile garages (pictures only depict Ford Galaxies) in 55 man-hours.

Il a été fondé le 24 mai 1903 sous le nom de "Deutsche Motorradfahrer-Vereinigung"', nom qu'il a abandonné pour son nom actuel en 1911.

Der Allgemeine Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC) ist Deutschlands größter Verkehrsclub. Er ist ein gemeinnütziger, eingetragener Verein mit Sitz in München. Neben dem ADAC gibt es in Deutschland noch zwei weitere große Verkehrsclubs mit vergleichbarer Ausrichtung (AvD, ACE), sowie als ökologisches Pendant den VCD.

De ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.) is de grootste autoclub van Duitsland, met de hoofdvestiging in München. De ADAC werd in 1903 opgericht onder de naam „Deutsche Motorradfahrer-Vereinigung“. In 1911 wijzigde de naam in „Allgemeinen Deutschen Automobil-Club“. De ADAC had in 2006 meer dan 15 miljoen leden, en is daarmee de derde hulpverleningsdienst na de Amerikaanse AAA en de japanse JAF. De ADAC is tevens uitgever van plattegronden en wegenkaarten en bezit verschillende verkeersoefencentra.
