ABO Blood Group

The ABO blood group system is the most important blood type system (or blood group system) in human blood transfusion. The associated anti-A antibodies and anti-B antibodies are usually IgM antibodies, which are usually produced in the first years of life by sensitization to environmental substances such as food, bacteria and viruses. ABO blood types are also present in some animals, for example cows and sheep, apes such as chimpanzees, bonobos and gorillas.

Le système ABO est le premier système de groupe sanguin découvert. Le terme « ABO » est une combinaison des trois lettres utilisées pour définir les trois groupes sanguins initialement décrits avec ce système : A, B, et O, auxquels s'est ensuite ajouté le groupe AB.

I AB0 (siges a-b-nul) -systemet (opdaget af Landsteiner i 1900) er en samlet oversigt over fire forskellige blodtyper. Man kan have henholdsvis type A, B, AB eller 0. Betegnelsen fortæller, hvilke antigener man har. Har man type A, har man også antigen A, har man type B har man antigen B, har man type AB har man begge slags, og hvis man har type 0, har man ingen antigener overhovedet.
