ATM Adaptation Layer 5
ATM Adaptation Layer 5 (AAL5) is an ATM adaptation layer used to send variable-length packets up to 65,535 octets in size across an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network.

ATM Adaptation Layer 5
ATM Adaptation Layer 5 o AAL5 es la capa de adaptación de ATM 5.
Las computadoras usan AAL5 para enviar paquetes de longitud variable mayor de 65.535 octetos a través de una red ATM.
AAL5 es una etapa del servicio de la tecnología ATM, donde se toma la información del usuario, se le secciona y se le estructura señalando el tipo de servicio que es (voz, datos, vídeo o audio).
