A380

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, four-engined airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, an EADS subsidiary. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, Deliveries would be pushed back by nearly two years.While Airbus attributes the delays entirely to wiring, industry analyst Richard Aboulafia, noting that the first A380 will be around 5.5 tons heavier than intended, speculates that the weight problems "[go] a long way in explaining the delay", and that "wiring alone did not explain what we were all hearing. It sounds like weight-reduction design changes are a big part of the delay, too."

Der Airbus A380 ist ein vierstrahliges Großraumflugzeug mit zwei durchgängigen Passagierdecks des europäischen Flugzeugherstellers Airbus. Der Tiefdecker ist das weltweit größte Passagierflugzeug, das bisher in Serienfertigung produziert wurde. Während der Konzeptionsphase wurde das Flugzeug als Airbus A3XX bezeichnet. Die Endmontage des Flugzeugs findet in Toulouse und die Kabinenausrüstung in Hamburg-Finkenwerder statt. Der Erstflug dieses Langstreckenflugzeugs fand am 27. April 2005 in der Version A380-800 statt. Bisher wurden 192 Flugzeuge dieses Typs bestellt (Stand 18.02.2008). Die erste Maschine wurde am 15. Oktober 2007 in Toulouse an Singapore Airlines übergeben und hatte am 25. Oktober 2007 ihren ersten Passagierflug von Singapur nach Sydney.

Il primo volo di prova è avvenuto il 27 aprile 2005. La prima consegna è stata effettuata il 15 ottobre 2007 alla compagnia aerea Singapore Airlines, che il 25 ottobre ha realizzato il primo volo commerciale, da Singapore a Sidney.
