Grand Prix motorcycle racing
Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing. It is currently divided into three classes: MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. All three classes use four-stroke engines. In 2010, 250cc two-strokes were replaced by the new Moto2 600cc four-stroke class. In 2012, 125cc two-strokes were replaced by the Moto3 250cc four-stroke class with maximum weight limit 65 kilos with gas, and the engine capacity for MotoGP increased from 800cc to 1000cc.

Motorrad-Weltmeisterschaft
Mit Motorrad-Weltmeisterschaft ist im Allgemeinen die vom Weltverband FIM im Jahre 1949 erstmals ausgeschriebene Weltmeisterschaft für Straßenmotorräder gemeint. Es werden Weltmeisterschaftstitel in mehreren Klassen vergeben, die durch Hubraum, Zylinderzahl, Arbeitsweise und Gewicht definiert sind.

Grand Prix moto
Grand Prix moto (MotoGP) est un format de courses de motos qui rassemble chaque année les meilleurs pilotes mondiaux. La compétition se déroule de mars à novembre sous la forme d'un Championnat du Monde. Toutes les machines sont des prototypes et les constructeurs sont directement impliqués dans leur conception ainsi que dans la gestion des meilleures équipes.

MotoGP
Grand Prix motorcycle racing (MotoGP Motocyklowe Mistrzostwa Świata) - najbardziej prestiżowe na świecie zawodowe wyścigi motocyklowe, odpowiednik samochodowej Formuły 1, nazywane też "klasą królewską", organizowane przez Międzynarodową Federację Motocyklową (FIM).
Na "MotoGP" składa się seria 18. wyścigów torowych, odbywających się w piętnastu krajach na czterech kontynentach. Podobnie jak Formuła 1 "Królewska klasa" jest poligonem, do testowania najnowszych technologii z dziedziny konstrukcji motocykli i ich opon. Motocykle te mają masę do 150 kg, silniki benzynowe o pojemności do 800 cm3, osiągające moc do ok. 200 KM i prędkości do 330 km/h. Hałas o natężeniu 130 decybeli jaki wytwarzają zmusza kierowców do używania stopperów.
