Null oder 0 hat mehrere miteinander verwandte Bedeutungen, man bezeichnet damit sowohl eine Zahl als auch ein Zahlzeichen oder eine (Ziffer) in einem Zahlensystem. Als ganze Zahl repräsentiert die Null die leere Menge und ist das neutrale Element bezüglich der Addition. Je nach Definition wird die Null auch zu den natürlichen Zahlen gezählt. Als Ziffer in einem Zahlensystem ist die „0“ und gegebenenfalls deren Position wesentlich für den Wert der Zahl.
