薩摩半島
薩摩半島（さつまはんとう）は、九州の半島のひとつ。九州の南西端にあたり、東岸は鹿児島湾を挟んで大隅半島に対峙し、西岸は東シナ海に面する。南端は、長崎鼻である。その近くに開聞岳（標高924m）、指宿温泉がある。全体が鹿児島県に属する。中心都市は鹿児島市である。
