Österreichischer Schilling

The Schilling was the currency of Austria between 1924 and 1938 and again between 1945 and 1999, and the circulating currency until 2002. The euro was introduced at a fixed parity of €1 = 13.7603 Schilling to replace it. The Schilling was divided into 100 Groschen.

Der österreichische Schilling war von 1924 bis 1999 die Währung und anschließend noch bis Ende Februar 2002 gesetzliches Zahlungsmittel der Republik Österreich. Verbunden mit der Annexion durch das Deutsche Reich war von 1938 bis 1945 die Reichsmark die Währung in Österreich. In Folge der dritten Stufe der Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion wurde der Schilling 1999 als Währung und 2002 auch als gesetzliches Zahlungsmittel vom Euro abgelöst.Der Schilling wurde in 100 Groschen unterteilt.

Szyling austriacki — oficjalną jednostką monetarną Austrii do 31 grudnia 2001 r., kiedy to zastąpiło go euro. Kod wg. ISO 4217 to ATS. 1 szyling dzielił się na 100 groszy. Występowały banknoty: 20 ATS, 50 ATS, 100 ATS, 500 ATS i 1000 ATS.

A schilling (ejtsd: "siling") Ausztria pénzegysége volt, amíg 2002-ben be nem vezették az eurót. A hivatalos átváltási árfolyama szerint, egy euró 13,7603 schillinget ér.A schilling váltópénze a groschen volt. Egy schilling 100 groschent ért.A schillinget 1924-ben vezették be, ekkor 1 egységét 10 000 osztrák-magyar korona értékével tették egyenlové.  1938-ban, az Anschluss-szal eltörölték (1 birodalmi márka ekkor 1,5 schillinget ért), majd a Második Osztrák Köztársaság a II. világháború után, 1945. november 30-án újra forgalomba helyezte. Ekkor 1 birodalmi márkáért 1 schillinget adtak, személyenként limitálva 150 schillingre. Az 1947. novemberi "második schilling törvénnyel" új bankjegyeket bocsátottak ki. A pénzegység az 1950-es években szilárdult meg, amikor is árfolyamát az amerikai dolláréhoz kötötték (1 dollár 26 schillinget ért). 1971-ben, a bretton woods-i rendszer végetérte után a schilling árfolyamát egy valutakosárhoz igazították, majd 1976-tól a német márkához.
