The Scattered Islands in the Indian Ocean ( or Îles éparses de l'océan indien) consist of four small coral islands, an atoll, and a reef in the Indian Ocean, and have constituted the 5th district of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF) since February 2007. They have no permanent population. Three of the islands — the Glorioso Islands, Juan de Nova and Europa — and the Bassas da India atoll lie in the Mozambique Channel west of Madagascar, while the fourth island, Tromelin, lies about east of Madagascar. Also in the Mozambique Channel is the Banc du Geyser, a reef which was annexed by Madagascar in 1976. France continues to view the Banc du Geyser as part of the Îles Éparses.

Îles éparses (deutsch etwa „verstreute Inseln“, vollständige französische Bezeichnung Îles éparses de l'océan Indien) werden jene französischen Besitzungen im Indischen Ozean genannt, die bis 2007 keiner überseeischen Gebietskörperschaft zugeordnet waren. Es handelt sich dabei durchwegs um kleine Eilande, die abgesehen von Stationspersonal unbewohnt sind.

Les îles Éparses, en forme longue Îles Éparses de l’océan Indien (selon la nomenclature du Code officiel géographique), sont un des cinq districts des Terres australes et antarctiques françaises ; elles sont situées autour de Madagascar et formées de six îles : l’île Europa, l’île Bassas-da-India, l’île Juan-de-Nova, l’île Tromelin ainsi que l’île Grande Glorieuse et l’île du Lys composant les Îles Glorieuses.

Îles Éparses, "de spridda öarna" (franskt fullständigt namn: Îles Éparses de l'océan Indien), är fem öområden tillhörande Frankrike belägna runt omkring önationen Madagaskar, som länge haft anspråk på öarna.

Îles éparses (fullt navn på fransk: Îles éparses de l'océan indien, oversatt: «Spredte øyer i Indiahavet») er en fransk besittelse i Det indiske hav, bestående av fem grupper av små øyer. De har ingen befolkning, med unntak av personell på meteorologiske stasjoner.
