Egypt (Egyptian: km.t; Coptic: Kīmi; Arabic: مصر ;  Egyptian Arabic: ), officially the Arab Republic of Egypt, is a country in North Africa that includes the Sinai Peninsula, a land bridge to Asia. Covering an area of about 1,001,450 square kilometers (386,560 sq mi), Egypt borders  Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, and the Gaza Strip and Israel to the east. The northern coast borders the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern coast borders the Red Sea.

Ägypten ( Misr, offiziell die Arabische Republik Ägypten), ist ein Staat im nordöstlichen Afrika. Die zu Ägypten gehörende Sinai-Halbinsel wird im allgemeinen zu Asien gezählt. Das Land grenzt im Norden an das Mittelmeer, im Osten an das Rote Meer, den Gaza-Streifen und Israel, im Westen an Libyen und im Süden an Sudan. Dort ist die Grenze im sogenannten Hala'ib-Dreieck umstritten. Ägypten wird zu den Maschrek-Staaten gerechnet und ist knapp dreimal so groß wie Deutschland.

La Repubblica Araba d'Egitto , dove con مصر, Miṣr, si intende l'Egitto) è uno stato del Nord Africa. Include la Penisola del Sinai, il che rende l'Egitto un paese che fa parte anche dell'Asia. La principale parte abitata del paese si estende ai lati del fiume Nilo. Vaste aree dell'Egitto sono coperte dalle sabbie del Sahara e sono disabitate.
